View from Francis St.

Planning a visit to Virginia's Colonial Capital? Let us introduce you to this beautiful town where history was made.

We will guide you through the reconstructed colonial capital of Virginia, giving you the story of its founding, its growth, its place in American history and its eventual re-birth as the living museum you see today. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of some of Williamsburg’s citizens throughout her history, learn a bit about 18th-century life and customs, and also learn about what the restored city has to offer the visitor today.

If you have limited time to spend in Williamsburg, this tour is a great way to get a solid understanding of Williamsburg and its significance. Even if you plan to spend a week here exploring the museum, our tour will help you understand the backstories of the town, and aid you in getting the most out of your Colonial Williamsburg tickets.

Tour time is approximately 2 ½ hours. Walking length of the tour is approximately 1.5 miles.
